What do facial muscle relaxers treat:
* FOREHEAD: to smooth those long prominent lines when lifting eyes or with other facial expressions
* BETWEEN THE EYES: the small lines that appear when we frown or furrow our faces and make us look angry.
* AROUND THE EYES: called crow’s feet, they are the common lines caused by squinting from our bright Colorado sun.
* NOSE: named bunny lines, they are the diagonal lines that appear on both sides of the nose

What is the procedure like?
First Irena will consult with you regarding your goals and areas of concern. Tiny doses of either Botox or Dysport are injected into the skin where wrinkles are noticeable. It is a very simple procedure which typically lasts 10- 20 minutes. The number of injections and dose type/amounts administered varies for each person. Irena uses extremely small needles and the procedure is relatively painless. A numbing cream may be applied if desired. |
After treatment, mild swelling and bruising may appear on the injection spots. The redness and swelling will only last for a few hours, but some may experience bruising for several days. The results from a treatment take 5-7 days to appear. When they do, the face will look smoother, brighter & younger. Results last 3-4 months and permanent wrinkle removal will require regular treatment for at least 1 year.

What exactly are they? Are they safe?
Yes, Botox and Dysport facial muscle relaxants are very safe. They are highly diluted botulin toxins naturally derived from the same bacteria that cause botulism.
